Vibease recently had an exciting opportunity to pick the brains of JayMasters, one of our audiobook authors. No holds barred, we asked him everything under the sun, from his story ideas to thoughts on audio porn.

How did you get into creating audio erotica?
I stumbled upon audio erotica in 2016. I found myself on the site Literotica and discovered that I really enjoyed listening to erotic audios. After listening to some audios by women, I submitted an audio of my own on a whim. The audio was called “In The Shower.” It was basically an improvised fantasy. I was really surprised when I received positive feedback.
Inspired by the response I received, I submitted another audio. My second audio was actually a pretty faithful retelling of a true story. I think it’s called “This Is A True Story.” It was about a time that I went to a concert with a girl and then had sex with her in my car on the way home. After that, I submitted a couple of audios of me just playing while listening to some audios by women who really turned me on. That’s when I realised that some of my listeners really just like to listen to me stroke and moan, which I’m more than happy to do for them.
I am personally more of a fan of my narrative audios (the ones with stories), but I understand that sometimes you just want to listen to my wet cock and my moans. Either way, I am grateful for all of the support and feedback I receive from my listeners.
Where do you get your ideas and inspirations from?
I get my ideas and inspirations from real life—from what I see and hear, what I experience, what I desire on a daily basis, what I fantasise about.
What’s your favourite perk about being an audio erotica author?
Just knowing that there are listeners out there who enjoy hearing me enjoy myself.
What do you think makes a good audio erotica author?
I think there are all different tastes out there, so I don’t think there’s one right way to make erotic audios. But I can tell you that what I hear most often from my listeners is that they enjoy my audios because my desire and enjoyment sound genuine. And that’s certainly true in my case. I’ve never recorded an audio and not enjoyed making it. I absolutely love recording for my listeners. I love knowing they’re out there listening, and I love giving them what they want.
You have recorded many audiobooks over the years. Do you have a personal favourite?
I have a few favourites, but my absolute favourite is called “You and I Finally Meet”. I put more into that audio than any other audio, by far. It’s a complete fantasy in which I meet and have amazing sex with an imaginary listener.
I took my time planning the audio because I wanted to do full justice to my fantasy and the fantasies of my listeners. It’s a really long audio (about 35 minutes), so you have to really want to experience the whole fantasy in order to listen to the whole thing. But I think it’s worth it. The build-up was part of the pleasure for me.
Is there anything about your work that you wish more people knew?
Every once in a while, I have a skeptical listener ask me if I’m really playing with myself in my audios. The answer is definitely yes. Always. I fully and completely enjoy playing with myself. Why in the world would I fake that sound? It feels way too good to do it myself.
We know that many authors get requests from their fans, what’s the weirdest request you’ve received?
I get a lot of weird requests. All the time. I think the weirdest request I’ve received recently was from a guy who wanted me to make a customised audio for his girlfriend for their anniversary. I wasn’t really sure what to say.
It’s no doubt audio erotica has revolutionised the sex industry. What do you hope to see in the future of audio erotica?
I think I’d like to see more collaborations between creators. You see these kinds of collaborations on r/gonewildaudio but not really anywhere else.
Lastly, any resolutions for 2020?
Experiment more with ASMR capabilities.
