I was so intrigued when asked to review a new, high-tech adult toy from Vibease. I have a few different toys in possession, but they were getting boring. To avoid spoilers, I decided not to look it up online until I received the package.
Unboxing
Delivery was quick, under a week to the US. I was pleased to see that it was packed in a non-descript brown box. Plus one for thoughtfulness! The box looks sleek and modern, reminiscent of a smartphone packaging. Call me a girls’ girl, but I was thrilled to see that the toy is in PINK, my absolute favourite colour. The SMART vibrator was nested in a black foam backing, complete with two USB charger cords, a quick guide and a manual guide. I have never in my life received any device with TWO chargers. Talk about generous!
Using It For The First Time Alone
On first touch, I was pleasantly surprised by the feel of the SMART vibrator. It felt like velvet—smooth, soft, sophisticated. I laughed when I plugged in the charger. Because this toy is meant to be water-resistant, the charging port is tightly covered by the silicone skin for protection. I felt like I was pegging the toy!
After charging it for a short while, I did my solo test. The SMART vibrator was user-friendly, easy to switch on and change the vibration patterns. The vibrations were STRONG. Strongest out of all my toys. It took a while to get used to. I really like how nifty it feels in my hand. I imagine a lot of thought must have gone into the design of the shape and size.
App
Now to the high point of this toy—the technology. I downloaded Vibease's Fantasy app and paired it via Bluetooth. I did make a boo-boo of trying to pair it via the phone’s Bluetooth menu. That doesn’t work, because you are supposed to do it via the app. The UI is pretty straightforward, with audiobooks, music, chat and settings. Encountered another pleasant surprise: there are 11 vibration patterns you can choose from! I didn’t even think there can be that many. I had a lot of fun trying them out. The audiobooks were interesting. Personally, I am a fan of podcasts and audiobooks. I listen to them on my commute, when I wind down, and when I am doing chores around the house. What a genius idea to combine audio and physical sensory for the ultimate experience. I have listened to a few so far and my favourite is “Our Little Secret”. I am sucker for English accents. *Winks*
Long-distance
I had 3 long-distance relationships in my life. Where was this when I needed it?! People are so lucky nowadays. My significant other travels for work sporadically, so I took his phone and downloaded the app for him. (Lol.) I asked him to test it with me using the chat function. Let me tell you, his eyes lit up when he saw my response. (He is a total Dom and I am a sub, so this is perfect for us.) I was giggling all over and putty in his hands. The vibrator was very responsive in real-time. We were in the same house though, so I am not sure if it will function exactly the same if he’s on the other side of the planet.
Maintenance
Unlike my other toys which are also made of silicone, this SMART vibrator does not attract dust and lint at all. Maybe the material is more high-end? The charge holds up very well, longer than expected. It’s been 4 weeks and still going strong after multiple uses weekly.
Verdict: 8/10
Well designed, nice feel, cool technology. I foresee this being a regular mix in my sex life. I love that I can share this with my partner, and if he’s busy—share it with my mysterious sexy man with that English accent.
